Early Life and Education

Beatrice Potter was born into a wealthy family in 1858.

Her father was a barrister, and her extended family included industrialists.

“ In November 1887 ”, he writes in his Autobiography, “ I was induced by Miss Beatrice Potter to take rooms in the same house with them at Bournemouth.
