    For this project, students created a large background using tempera paint and paint rollers.

    Then. students used a tracer of Degas’ dancer sculpture made by the teachers to trace and cut their own dancer out of black paper. Next, the students used a coffee filter, markers, and spray rubbing alcohol to create the tutu and bow.

    Degas art project: A simple way to depict motion using crayon resist and repetitive drawings.

    They cut a frame out of multiple colors of construction paper. They assembled everything with regular white glue. They used rubber stamps and ink to add the final details if they chose.
