Hasrat Jaipuri was a popular lyricist of Bollywood in the golden era of music – 50’s to 70’s and lion share of old compositions that music lovers still hear now belongs exclusively for this great poet.

He is versatile as a poet in Hindi and Urdu too. The great love song of yesterdays, ‘Yeh mera prem part padkar’ was written by him in his real life for his love interest and later used for the movie Sangham.
